As part of Reconciliation Week in Queensland, students had the opportunity to hear the insights and experiences of lawyers and a barrister who have faced numerous barriers and challenges.
From discrimination to systemic and structural hurdles, each speaker shared an honest and eye-opening account of how they pursued a legal career and made a difference in their community despite those obstacles.
The event also provided an invaluable platform for attendees to gain a deeper understanding of reconciliation, and how they too can contribute towards a more equal and just society.
Thank you to Hopgood Ganim for allowing ILAQ to be a community support member.
